Quiche Lorraine

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F.
  2. Sprinkle cheese, bacon, and onion in unbaked pastry shell.
  3. Beat eggs in a bowl, then blend in remaining ingredients (cream, red pepper, salt, and sugar).
  4. Pour cream mixture into the pie plate.
  5. Bake at 375°F for approximately 45 minutes or until filling is golden and a knife comes clean when inserted 1 inch from edge.
  6. Before serving, let stand for 10 minutes.
  7. Serve in wedges.
Adaptations:
Mom uses 6 eggs instead of 4.
Tim uses 9 eggs and only 1 cup of cream.
