Lasagna
Ingredients
Meat Sauce
- 1 lb ground beef or Italian sausage
- 1 jar (24 oz) Barilla marinara sauce
- 1 small onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
Cheese Mixture
- 1 container (15 oz) ricotta cheese
- 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
- 1 egg
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
Other Ingredients
- 12 sheets Barilla oven-ready lasagna noodles
- 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded (for topping)

Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large skillet, cook ground beef or Italian sausage over medium-high heat until browned. Drain excess fat.
- Add diced onion, garlic, and Italian seasoning. Cook until onion is soft.
- Stir in Barilla marinara sauce and simmer for 15 minutes.
- In a mixing bowl, combine ricotta cheese, 1 cup mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, egg, salt, and black pepper.
- In a 9x13-inch baking dish, spread a thin layer of meat sauce.
- Layer 4 oven-ready lasagna noodles over the sauce.
- Spread 1/3 of the ricotta mixture over noodles, followed by 1/3 of the meat sauce.
- Repeat layers two more times, finishing with remaining meat sauce.
- Sprinkle 1 cup of mozzarella cheese on top.
- Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes. Uncover and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes until cheese is golden and bubbly.
- Let lasagna rest for 10 minutes before serving.
For extra flavor, add fresh basil between the layers. Serve with a side of garlic bread and a fresh salad for a complete meal.
