Chocolate Chip Cookies
Yield: 5 dozen cookies | Prep/Cooking Time: 70 minutes
Ingredients
- 2¼ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 cup butter, softened
- ¾ cup granulated sugar
- ¾ cup firmly packed brown sugar
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- 2 eggs
- 12 ounces (2 cups) semisweet chocolate morsels
- 1 cup chopped nuts (walnuts, pecans)
Instructions
- In a small bowl, combine the flour, baking soda and salt; set aside.
- In a large bowl, combine the butter, sugar, brown sugar and vanilla extract; beat until creamy.
- Beat in the eggs.
- Gradually add flour mixture to the butter mixture until completely incorporated.
- Stir in chocolate morsels and nuts.
- Drop level tablespoons of dough onto ungreased cookie sheets.
- Bake in a preheated 375-degree oven for 9 to 11 minutes, until firm.
